What I Do & What I've Done...

Hi, I’m Adon Young.

I recently graduated with a First-Class Honours degree in Games Development (Programming) from Glasgow Caledonian University. With over 8 years of experience using C# in Unity, I’ve developed a strong foundation in real-time gameplay programming, mechanics implementation, and tool development. (Many of those mechanics and ideas can be explored in the “Mini Projects” section of this website.)

During the final two years of my degree, I also focused on C++ development using OpenGL and OpenAL, deepening my understanding of memory management, optimization, and best coding practices.

In my spare time, I’ve participated in numerous game jams across Glasgow and was part of the Wellness Game Lab internship where I collaborated remotely with an international team to develop a wellness-focused game, free to play on itch.io and here on my site.

I’m currently expanding my skill set into C# with .NET, as well as front-end web development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Outside of programming, I enjoy tackling escape rooms, playing board games, and constructing and painting miniatures.
